The conference is the seventh in a row, following earlier conferences organised in Greenwich, London, UK (2003, 2005, 2007), Kavala, Greece (2004), Adelaide, Australia (2006) and Nagpur, India (2008).

Paper submission

Conference Paper Style Guide

Please use the templates for the paper.

Papers will not be language edited and it is the responsibility of the authors to maintain the language level suitable for international participants and readers. Basic indications are given below to serve as conference paper style guide.

(1) SIZE: IDEAL: 5 000 TO 6 000 WORDS; MAXIMUM: UP TO 8 000 (LONGER PAPER SHOULD BE ABBREVIATED)
(2) SINGLE SPACE
(3) HARVARD REFERENCING METHOD
(4) TABLES AND FIGURES: CAN BE EDITED BY TYPESETTERS
(5) OTHER STYLE FEATURES:

The following guidelines must be used:

- Standard British English Spelling
- All foreign and Latin words must be italicised
- Use ‘per cent’ in the main body of the text, while the symbol % in the tables
- Footnotes must be used very sparingly
- Citations in the text should list the author’s last name and publication date, all enclosed by parentheses, for example (Kang, Kara and Seaton, 1993). If a particular page is cited, please use the following notation (Smith, 1989, p. 156). Note that the reference/literature section must include only and all citations used in the chapter
o Surname, Initial(s) (year of publication), Title of the book - italicised, Place of Publication: Publisher
o Surname, Initial(s) (year of publication), Title of the paper, Title of the journal – italicised, Volume in bold and issue No. in parentheses, with page numbers given
o Surname, Initial(s) (year of publication), Title of the book chapter in the edited book, in Initial(s) Surname, Title of the edited book – italicised, Place of Publication: Publisher, page numbers

When submitting the paper please choose the theme and the session that is the most appropriate for your paper.

Reviewing

All the submitted abstracts and papers will be double blind-reviewed by an international review board. All the comments by the reviewers will be forwarded to the authors, in case some modifications are needed either prior to the conference or before publishing. The authors will be required to make these changes and re-submit the paper for publishing in due time

Copyright Requirement

Having received the notice about the paper acceptance, the author(s) agree to the following:
· to guarantee that the submitted paper has not been published, accepted for publication, or is under consideration for publication elsewhere;
· to release the copyright to the Greenwich University Press;
· to present the paper at the “Seventh International Conference on Accounting and Finance in Transition"; any accepted paper not presented at the Conference will not be published in the Conference Proceedings.
· to submit the Conference registration form and pay the Registration fee for the presenting author(s) not later than 01 July, 2009.

Conference Proceedings

All accepted conference papers will be published on a conference CD-ROM. A selection of papers will be published in the seventh volume of the “Accounting and Finance in Transition” book series, while other selected papers will be published in a symposium issue of an academic Journal. The selected authors have to agree to work closely with the editor(s) to ensure that their contributions are produced on time and reflect advice given by the anonymous referees and the editors and FULLY comply with ICAFT presentation style.
